Nortura is based on Norwegian traditions, Norwegian culinary culture and Norwegian ownership.

Nortura SA is a result of the merger between Gilde Norsk Kjøtt BA and Prior Norge BA, and is organized as a cooperative owned by approximately 25,000 farmers. 

The company has an annual turnover of approx. NOK 17,4 billion and has industrial operations in 37 municipalities in 15 counties with approx. 6,100 employees. 

Consumers will continue to see the strong brands of Gilde and Prior in shops, along with the other brands owned by the group.
